The existing Franklin Savings and Trust Company building at 2815 Penn Ave is undergoing a complete interior and exterior renovation, led by NEXT Architecture. A new fourth floor will be built on top of the existing building. The two buildings to the West of 2815 Penn Ave will be demolished and replaced with a new two story building. Parking and loading will be provided off of Mulberry Way.
The interior renovation will be core and shell in anticipation for an office use that would occupy a majority of the building. The Pittsburgh Winery will be occupying the basement of both buildings and a retail space on the first floor of the addition.
The exterior renovation includes cleaning of the entire building and replacing all windows and doors with fenestration that has a similar aesthetic. The new fourth floor addition and 2 story addition will have a modern aesthetic that compliments the existing building.
